Virtual Audio Cable is a virtual audio application that allows you to transfer audio streams (waves) between applications and/or devices. Create a set of virtual audio devices, each with its own input/output wave pair. Any application can send an audio stream to the cable's output, and any other application can receive that stream from the input. All transmissions are performed digitally without loss of audio quality (bitperinf streams).
Thanks to VB-CABLE technology, VB-Audio applications can simulate input/output operations virtually, providing new and amazing audio experiences. VAC can be used to record audio output from an application (audio player, instant messenger, or audio synthesis program) in real time, or to send an audio stream to another application that processes it. For example, you can create audio streams using two or more streaming/audio/mixing/audio creation programs, send them to a virtual CableT device, and then record the mixed streams from the same virtual CableT device using any recording program (Windows Audio Recorder).
